The Mimic Jealousy's Book Entities
Jealousy Entity Philosophy
Jealousy's Book entities punish map mastery gaps harder than Control. Exterior patrol (Biwaki), sight-based stalking (Kintoru), and set-piece chases (Nejibishoma / Grin Demon) rotate pressure so players cannot rely on one stealth trick.
Shrine and village aesthetics map to behavior — open courtyards favor patrol speed, narrow interiors favor sight games.
Study this roster before Jealousy guides if you skipped Control badge grinding.
Biwaki — Territory Patrol
Biwaki controls exterior and compound loops with territorial resets — crossing invisible zone edges triggers investigation. Footstep audio is heavier than Hiachi — listen for rhythmic patterns.
Avoid cutting through Biwaki center paths; skirt edges with crouch. Co-op splitting zones can accidentally pull Biwaki toward puzzle rooms.
Nightmare Biwaki overlaps secondary patrol — treat courtyard as lethal after mid-chapter flags.
Kintoru — Sight Entity
Kintoru responds to player sight alignment — camera facing matters on some patches. Back away smoothly through doors rather than sprinting backward into patrol overlap.
Bridges and long hallways are Kintoru hotspots in Chapter 2+. Pre-clear before carrying keys.
Breaking sight early is cheaper than outrunning once chase triggers.
Nejibishoma — Grin Demon
Nejibishoma (Grin Demon) is chase-first entity with grin silhouette and high-pitched stinger. Mandatory in Chapter 3 — see Grin Demon guide for loop paths.
Differs from patrol entities — dead-end hides fail often. L-corridor double breaks are standard tech.
