Witch Trials is a special The Mimic mode framing survival as trial waves — players complete escalating objectives under witch-themed modifiers while managing limited resources. Unlike standard chapters, Trials emphasize endurance and resource routing over pure stealth puzzles.
Entry appears during seasonal events or dedicated lobby portals. Rules can change per event iteration; always read CTStudio Discord pins at event start.
Trials assume familiarity with base entities — Hiachi, Biwaki, and event-specific witch servants appear with tweaked speeds.
Wave Structure
Early waves teach modifier language: reduced visibility, forced sprint segments, or item scarcity. Mid waves introduce compound patrol — two entity types active simultaneously.
Final waves compress safe space — pre-learn center arena pillars for sight breaks. Running outward to map edges often triggers fail timers.
Co-op: assign resource carrier who avoids combat lines while others trigger wave objects.
