The Mimic Entities Database
Understanding Entities in The Mimic
Entities are the heart of The Mimic's horror — yokai-inspired monsters each with distinct detection rules, patrol paths, chase triggers, and audio tells. Unlike generic Roblox horror NPCs that simply run at players, Mimic entities require you to learn behavior trees: some punish sight, others sound, and bosses like Enzukai combine multi-phase mechanics.
This hub organizes entities by book and role so you can study relevant threats before queuing a chapter. Control's Book introduces foundational stalkers; Jealousy's Book escalates with Biwaki, Kintoru, and Nejibishoma (Grin Demon); special gamemodes add variant speeds and modifiers.
Use entity pages alongside maps and guides — knowing Hiachi's audio cue matters little if you do not know which hallway amplifies footstep noise.
Entity Categories
Stalkers follow players when triggered, emphasizing line-of-sight breaks — Hiachi is the iconic example. Patrol units walk fixed or semi-random loops — Biwaki controls territory in Jealousy exteriors. Boss-tier entities gate chapter finales with phase shifts — Enzukai anchors Jealousy Chapter 4.
Gamemode entities appear in Nightmare, Witch Trials, and Jigoku with rescaled stats. Never assume standard chapter tells apply one-to-one without checking gamemode entity notes.
Future books Rage and Rebirth will expand the roster — CTStudio teasers hint at new families of cursed spirits.
How to Learn Entity Tells
Audio first: headphones reveal staggered footstep patterns and ambient stingers unique per entity. Visual second: silhouette shape and movement animation telegraph chase vs patrol. Mechanic third: some entities respect crouch, others ignore it after first trigger.
Practice in standard mode before Nightmare — faster variants reuse tells but shrink reaction windows.
Community tier lists rank difficulty and priority — see entity tier list for PvE threat ordering debates.
